LubriSynHA™ Livestock
Liquid high-molecular-weight hyaluronan for joint lubrication, soft tissue health, and mobility in show livestock
Always read and follow the product label for feeding directions and copper safety before feeding to sheep.
Overview
LubriSynHA™ Livestock (formerly sold as Lubrisyn™ LVS — some retailers such as Santa Cruz Animal Health still use the LVS name) is a liquid oral supplement containing high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HA) — the naturally occurring component of synovial fluid that lubricates and cushions joints. Administered orally at 10 ml/day for sheep, starting 60 days before the show (the manufacturer previously recommended 120 days; the current label says 60). The dose can be doubled for the first 7 days or before competition. Tasteless and colorless; can be mixed in feed or given by oral syringe. One quart lasts approximately 2 months per lamb at the standard dose.

How Experienced Feeders Actually Use It
LubriSynHA Livestock is started at least 60 days before show (older Umbarger-program guidance said 120 days — starting earlier does no harm). It is an insurance supplement for joint health, particularly important for lambs on high-growth programs that put stress on joints. Doubling the dose the week before competition is a common protocol.
