Company Overview

Hi-Pro Feeds was founded in 1968 in Friona, TX and adopted the Hi-Pro name in 1972. In 2017, the company was acquired by Nutreco (Netherlands) and integrated into the Trouw Nutrition North America division — the Hi-Pro brand name is retained in the U.S. market. Operations span Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Arizona with 236+ certified dealer locations and multiple mills (Friona TX, Comanche TX, Cheyenne OK, Clovis NM). Hi-Pro has deep roots in Texas Panhandle cattle feeding but maintains a dedicated show livestock line (the Apex series) alongside sheep/goat and equine products.

Show Line Notes

Hi-Pro has a dedicated show line under the Apex brand — the Apex Show Lamb Enhancer and Apex Show Lamb Finisher form a two-stage show lamb system (developer → finisher) with Decoquinate for coccidiosis prevention. Natural Fill is the standalone show-circuit supplement targeting fill and dimension. The remaining products (Lamb Grower 2000, 18% Starter, 16% S&G Pellet) support the broader sheep program and are used in show programs, especially in the growing phase, but are not marketed as show-specific products. This is a regionally distributed brand — Hi-Pro show products are not widely available outside TX, NM, OK, and AZ.
